3rd STOP--SKAGWAY, AK

The White Pass Railroad Train took us on a 28-mile ride from Skagway to the Fraser Train Depot in British Colubia.  As we climbed up the mountainside on a narrow gauge historic track that took us from sea level to almost 3,000 feet at the summit, we saw spectacular panoramic views of cascading waterfalls, majestic mountains, glaciers, the roaring Skagway River, historic sites and other breathtaking panoramic vistas!
Getting ready to board the train!

One of the cliff-hugging bends--
Both a historic landmark and a major, international civil engineering breakthrough, the railroad is designated an International Historic Civil Engineering Landmark, a title it shares with other engineering marvels including the Statue of Liberty and France's Eiffel Tower.

The old...
...and the new!!

On top of the summit where we crossed over into Canada.

Back in Skagway after our train ride up and bus ride down!
