Doug's brothers and sister's reunion was held this year at Doug's sister's house in Ammon, Idaho. Leslee went all out with the food; WE ATE WELL!!! Everyone enjoyed being together, visiting, and the girls made crafts while the boys spent hours with a rocker/bottle launcher.
Leslee with the traditional pinata (something Doug's mother started years ago), which Leslee makes to withstand 1,000 blows!!!
Each and every one of the kids that wanted to got to hit the pinata at least once, which included Brielle,
Abby,
Elsie,
Adelyn,
Isabella,
Ruby,
Garner,
Cole (the bigger ones were blindfolded),
Jaxon,
McKenna, and.....
Jaden finally brought the pinata down after all of the extended cousins had a chance!!!
All of the kids scrambled to pick up the candy, deposited it in the cooler and then dispersed evenly out!!
Rett loved the cob of corn.
Hattie was pretty happy to be there!
The last day of the reunion just happened to be McKay's 5th Birthday! Papa Doug is wishing him a "Happy Birthday" in this picture.
It's hard to believe that five years ago he was fighting for his life at Primary Children's Hospital with only a 5% chance to live! We feel so blessed to have him in our lives!
Leslee had made a cake for the reunion, so we borrowed it for McKay's birthday cake.
Leslee and McKay have a special bond!
Four siblings--Leslee (oldest), Doug, Scott and Blair
Leslee's daughter, Kathy, handpieced some beautiful quilts--her hobby. Andrea loved this one so much she purchased it from Kathy.
Kathy also embroidered the insert to this quilt, pieced the rest and machine quilted on Leslee's machine. She has an amazing talent!!
To end our reunion, everyone gathered around on Sunday after breakfast and had a memory/testimony meeting!
The Garner's are a wonderful family...
...and I'm so grateful I married into this great family!!!
Matt (Andrea) was so sweet and entertained the littler children while the grownups had their meeting!
Jennifer with Baby Benson (Ashley)--I just love taking pictures of Jennifer, since she never does of herself. She is always thinking of others!! Thanks, Jennifer

How fantastic to be able to have the Garner reunion at the same time you had your own family reunion--that way all of your kids could participate. They will always remember times like this.
This must have been a very special time for Doug and you. A reunion keeps families together and you are both doing such a good job with keeping your family united. Doug does have a great family and just as you stated, it is a blessing to be part of a good family!!
