We have had the greatest fall, but in just one day the weather turned from warm and sunny to this--
Notice the snow capping the lamppost...
...and how deep the snow is on the trampoline!
Cohen, Adelyn and Elsie spent the night with me because their mother needed a little rest to get over pink eye and a clogged milk duct. So, we took advantage of all of the snow and made a snowman the next morning.
Cohen actually didn't help too much but just walked through the snow and, and you can see in the picture, enjoyed eating the powdery stuff!
After making one snowman, we decided that one would be Adelyn's and then made another one for Elsie. We didn't quite get to Cohen's because by that time everyone was ready for hot chocolate.
The next morning, we woke up to even more snow. We thought that was plenty of snow the day before. The news said Centerville's bench received 22 inches of snow.
You can definitely see that we received more by looking at the lamppost again.
The snow was beautiful and fun to play in with the grandkids, but, sad to say, two of our mature trees that still had not yet dropped their leaves, suffered terribly with huge branches breaking from too heavy of a load, especially one of our ornamental pear tree's main limb tearing down into the trunk.
However, looking on the positive side--the Bountiful bench received 32 inches of snow, which was the total for all of last winter. Things definitely look promising for this winter's watershed.

Holy cow! I didn't realize you got that much snow. Amazing. You're such a fun grandma to build snowmans... they won't forget that. My kids really want to come to your house to play in the snow with you! Maybe next month we'll have to make a snow playdate!
How fun! Hattie and I enjoyed looking at these pictures. We can't believe all that snow! We are jealous! It snowed here a few days ago and we took advantage of playing out in it...but our snowman was as tall as my boot:)
You really did get a lot of snow! Much more than in Alpine--but it was enough for George and me! That was so cute that the kids wanted to make snowmen and that you did it with them. I know they loved it!
Hard to believe you received that kind of snow when we are still raking leaves. We are not feeling too forgotten, however, because it will happen here in no time! We can always pretty much count on that fact in Idaho.
