IF KIDS LOVE LEGOS, THEY LOVE LEGOLAND!

Legoland California is home to more than 60 rides, shows and attractions that cater to children ages 2-12.  If your children love Legos, it is a must-see for them.

Lego creations begin early in the parking lot.

Adam, McKay and Ruby part of the father and son Lego creations.

Adam and Ashley with three pretty excited kids!  Not only do all three kids love Legos, but Lego sets used to be Ashley's favorite Christmas present for many years!

Just inside the gate, a "tourist" greeting Ruby and McKay.

COAST CRUISE--
This ride was a good way to see everything along the lakeshore and in Miniland without getting tired feet.

 Sydney, Australia, Opera House

 Taj Mahal

 Eiffel Tower

 Mt. Rushmore--

 Statue of Liberty with--
 ---the New York City Skyline.

and a marine band with an octopus drummer.

The kids found a "Meet and Greet" Lego man.

 THE BIG TEST--

 -------------------------
Volvo car made out of tiny bricks

VOLVO JUNIOR DRIVING SCHOOL--
Ruby got to drive this car without any restrictions.  She did a great job handling the gas pedal and steering well.

It was so much fun watching her!

 She was on "cloud nine."
------------------------------------
SKY PATROL--

The kids in a Lego-looking car with--

--a sexy lady by its side.

SKY CRUISER--
This ride is ridden high above on a track above fun Town and is one of the Park's most popular rides.
------------------------

The medieval town was all decorated for Halloween where they have "Brick or Treat" party nights on the weekend and on Halloween.  Our tickets gave us a free "come back" entrance, so Adam and Ashley returned on the next Monday night before Halloween.

ROYAL JOUST--
The kids rode their very own Lego horse through an enchanted forest, complete with jousting Lego knights.  I thought this was one of the cutest rides.

 Ruby with bigger-than-life Lego ghost--
 --and life-sized ghost.

KING'S MARKET--

THE DRAGON--a fun dragon coaster that we all could ride!

DUNE RADERS--
 A 30-foot-high slide experience
Benny did not like this slide.  When he got to the bottom, he just laid there and cried!

Egyptian bazaar--

LOST KINGDOM ADVENTURE--A 16-foot tall Lego pharaoh guards the entrance to this ride where we recovered stolen treasure by blasting targets with laser guns.

PHARAOH'S REVENGE--
The kids (and Ashley) fired foam balls at targets and each other.

CARGO ACE--This was Benny's favorite ride, as you can see by the look on his face!

A bison lego creation with live greenery for its coat

A bigger-than-life Dracula for the Halloween season.

SAFARI TREK--An animal print Jeep ride where we discovered wild animals--all made from Lego bricks, of course.

FAIRY TALE BROOK--Leaf-shaped boats sailed gently through different fairy tale scenes.

--and the Big Bad Wolf"
 "Prince Charming--
--and Sleeping Beauty (or Snow White)"
 (and the fairy godmother)
 "Hansel and Gretel"
 "Aladin's Genie"
 "Little Red Riding Hood"

DUPLO PLAYTOWN--We arrived at Playtown just as they were closing down for the day, however--
--the kids had fun peering through the lion's mouth so that I could take their pictures.

LIFE-SIZED HARRY POTTER AND HAGRAN
 Last parting creations--

Whew!  We had such a full, fun day.  We were all exhausted, however McKay came home, felt inspired and made his own creation from Legos!

Legos (and Legoland) are truly wonderful toys where children learn to create, imagine and have fun.

Tomorrow we fly home in the evening, but we are going to visit San Diego's Maritime Museum on the wharf!  The week has flown by way too fast.

We haven't gone to Legoland yet, here in Florida. This really makes me want to take the grandkids there. I cannot believe how creative those people in that park are--but then McKay made something pretty creative, too! Those kids of Ashley's are such good sports to have their pictures taken and such good little posers! Great time with them!

That is so neat that your grand kids enjoyed Legoland and it looks like you covered a lot of ground during your day there. Actually, I don't remember seeing some of the things you showed. And of course, they all have to buy a new Lego package when the day is over. I'm sure Ashley and Adam will remember this trip with their kids, you and Doug for a long time to come.
