SPOKANE/MOSES LAKE, WA, TRIP--
Apr. 23-26, 2010
Doug and I flew to Spokane early Friday morning, April 23, 2010, to visit Ryan, Heather and Hattie. We had never been to Moses Lake, or to see Heather and Ryan's house, so we decided to take a trip. As an added bonus, Camille, Holland, Ashley, Adam and their three children drove to Moses Lake for a get-together. It was short but sweet weekend with three of our daughters and five of our grandchildren!! Here are some of the fun things we did:
We shopped in downtown Spokane!
Hattie had fun sitting in the colorful Pottery Barn chair!
We ate lunch at our favorite Spokane downtown restaurant--Cyrus O'Leary's
Heather and her dad
Cute Hattie!!
You can't beat the atmosphere in Cyrus O'Leary's!
Hattie was a little afraid of the stuffed bison head
This shot will bring back memories for the Garner's--When we lived in Missoula, MT, we would drive to Spokane for a weekend break. The rundown downtown area was revitalized for the 1974 World's Fair. Heather is in front of the Riverfront Park with the '74 U.S. Pavilion and Great Northern Railroad Depot clocktower in the background!
Hattie loved the ducks, however she thought she could walk on the water, too.
She especially loved chasing the ducks
After doing a little shopping, eating lunch, playing with the ducks, we went to the Custer's Antique Show at the Spokane County Fair and Expo Center--one of our favorite antique shows! (I forgot to take picures of this!!!) We then drove to Moses Lake that night where Heather, Ryan and Hattie live, which is 100 miles west of Spokane.
They have a lovely home. Heather decorates with so much detail and everything is so clean!!!
The kids had a fun time in the hot tub!
McKay and Ruby are getting so big!
Ruby loves anything pink!!
Hattie is not only darling but has such a cute personality!
Benson is now six months old. Heather sewed the clever tie on a onesie!
We all enjoyed Baby Benson!
Camille and Holland get to see Benson all of the time since they only live about one-half hour from Adam and Ashley.
Moses Lake Community Health Center where Ryan works as a physician assistant.
We took a Sunday drive after Sacrament Meeting and played at a park next to Moses Lake.
Holland really enjoys life and is so grown-up!
Ashley borrowed my camera and took these cute pictures of Ruby.
It was a beautiful sunny day. The adults just laid out soaking in the sun.
McKay had a great time throwing the frizbee to his grandfather!
Hattie enjoyed the dirt!?!

Moses Lake looks like a wonderful weekend getaway. Your kids living there is a plus! It is wonderful they are all within driving distance from one another---everyone needs family close by. I definitely miss mine! You always take great pictures--it's fun to see all you were able to do together!
We'll take you any chance we can get! What a fun short time we did have though. Thank you so much for taking the time, effort, and money to come see us. You and dad are so good to want to come see us and all your other kids. I feel so blessed to have you and dad, really. Hattie just loves you mom and i'm so glad you got to see her for a few days.
Thanks for all you do and have a fun time in Boston and be safe.
love you guys.
I love the pictures of all of you having so much fun together in the beautiful outdoors! The grandkids are really growing and so adorable. Isn't it great that they all live so close together!
I'm so grateful to hear how Heather and Ryan are doing in their new area and see little Hattie again. It has been almost a year since we saw her last. You and Doug looked like you you were in Heaven with your sweet family!!
