JOURNEY TO SEE THREE DAUGHTERS--March 13-21, 2013--
Heather and Ryan's baby, Hank, was being blessed, and so Doug and I decided we would attend his blessing and drive there. With Michele living in Boise, Heather living in Moses Lake, WA, and Ashley living in Seattle, we could see all three families and only drive five hours in between stops. We had a great time driving, seeing the country and three families, and especially having time to catch up with each other. It seems like with Doug's comings and going and with mine also the last two months, we have hardly had time to have any in-depth discussion.
-------------------------------
BOISE: We spent two nights with the Lake Family. Doug repaired some furniture that got damaged in their move, Michele and I went shopping, we went out to eat, and they took us to see their home that they just purchased. We are so glad they moved back west.
This is a picture of Brielle playing the "endless running" video game called Temple Run 2. She is so amazing playing the game and regularly gets over 2 million points. What is the most unbelievable thing is that she will talk to you while she is playing and still score that high.
Channing is the little man with his hats! Doug and I are so grateful to have the Lake's living close now so that we can get to know the younger children. Channing finally got to spend some time with Doug this trip, and now he just adores him!
Brielle also wanted to use either my I-phone or camera to take pictures. She actually did a pretty good job of taking this picture.
MOSES LAKE, WA:
We stayed a couple of nights with the Lake's and then traveled to Moses Lake. This was the first meeting of Doug with Hank Douglas Williams!
Ryan's parents came to Hank's baby blessing also. Since they were staying with Heather and Ryan, Doug and I spent the night in a hotel really close by that had a great swimming pool. Doug didn't bring his swimming suit, but no problem! He just takes his top, belt and shoes off, empties his pant pockets and jumps in with just his jeans on! He had a blast with the kids, and they with him! Jack has grown up so much. It was cute watching Doug and him play together.
Hattie was just in seventh heaven also! It's amazing how kids love the swimming pool.
After Ryan, Doug and the kids swam, we all came up to our room and watched a movie. Here are cute Hattie and Jack snuggling up in the bed after showering.
The next day was Hank's baby blessing. Ryan did a wonderful job with his son's blessing! Doug was honored that Hank's middle name would be named after him. This is the fourth grandson that has the middle name of Douglas. Douglas was actually named after his great-great grandmother, Isabella Douglas, so it is a family last name.
The proud parents with the newly named Hank Douglas Williams!
It's hard to believe Heather and Ryan now have three children!
Ryan's parents, Lynette and Todd
Doesn't Heather look happy and beautiful!
After the baby blessing, Heather and Ryan prepared a wonderful roast beef dinner. Hattie loves helping in the kitchen, and when she saw I had an apron on, she put hers on also.
After dinner, Doug took a nap and Hattie let him use her blanket, along with her tiara!
After the nap, we said our goodbyes and headed to our next stop, Bremerton, to see the Hyde Family!
-----------------------------------------
BREMERTON:
This was the first time Doug met Lucas Vaughn Hyde! In the picture, it seems like Lucas is studying his grandfather. Since Lucas is 15 days younger than Hank, Ashley and Adam won't bless him for another couple of weeks.
Benson just loves cowboy boots and wears them all of the time. His old ones were pretty worn out, so one of the first things we did while we were there was find Benny some new boots. These were the ones he picked out (Ashley said he wears them all of the time, even to church.).
We stayed two nights with the Hyde Family also. The kids took a day off from school, and we went shopping and out to eat. These little kids are just so enjoyable. We always have a great time visiting them.
This is a close-up shot of one-month-old Lucas.
After Doug took the kids for a candy run, we left for our journey home. We took the ferry from Bremerton to Seattle, drove to Issaquah to inspect an LDS church and to Spokane to inspect Liberty Lakes Mutual Insurance building, back to Heather and Ryan's where we spent another night, back to Michele and Brian's another night and then we arrived home. Whew, but what a fun trip!! Thanks to everyone for the great hospitality and all of the fun we had with especially our grandchildren. We feel so blessed and grateful to have all of you in our lives.
One last picture of Channing after we played blocks!

My goodness, what a joyful trip you and Doug took spending time with three of your girls, their husbands and your posterity. This post truly exemplifies joy and happiness in your posterity as the scriptures promise.
Your grand children are absolutely beautiful children living in positive, happy homes with loving parents.
I especially love how you and Douglas look so happy and thrilled to be with each family, holding the children and giving love and support to your children's demanding job as parents. Beautiful post!!
glad you posted these mom! I feel like i got to go, too. I love that you and Dad are there for all the important things.
What a great time you had! You got to see three families who all lived within a very short distance of each other! This is so unusual for you to have them all so close. I am very envious! Such beautiful little grandbabies! And that picture of Heather--Wow! She doesn't even look like she's out of high school, let alone has three kids. She looks great! Congrats to all the new parents and grandparents!
