LIGHTS AT TEMPLE SQUARE WITH THE FAMILY

Camille called us all up and had the families around here meet at Temple Square to see the Christmas lights and to have dinner at The Nauvoo Cafe!  It was not too cold of an evening, the company was great, the lights were amazing and we all enjoyed the hot chocolate and cookies at the Joseph Smith Building.

This is a view of Temple Square from the 10th floor of the Joseph Smith Building.

Two-month-old Liam even enjoyed the evening all bundled up!

Tom with his two boys!

In addition to Temple Square, the new City Creek is all lit up and magical!

And, the ZCMI candy windows are back!!!

Two beautiful sisters in front of a beautifully decorated Macy's display window!

Holland and Isabella peeking through Joseph Smith's legs in the J.S. Building.

The dazzling stained glass windows above the massive Christmas tree in the J.S. Building.

We ended the night remembering who and what we are celebrating at this time of year--the birth of our Savior!  We hope you all had a very merry Christmas!

Your pictures turned out so great of Temple Square and City Creek! It is difficult to get good pictures in the dark, yet light on the faces, and still get Christmas lights. But you pulled it off so well! Everyone looked like they had such a wonderful evening together!

Mom, that first picture needs to be a postcard! I LOVE THAT THE CANDY WINDOWS ARE BACK! That is one thing I will always love about Christmas time in SLC are those awesome windows and love that pic of Camille and jen....so precious:)

A lot of your pictures could be postcards, Mom. One regret I have is that we didn't go and see the candy windows! But your pictures make me feel a little better.:) How fun for all of you to make a night of going. Only bummer about being 5 hours away... we can't do things like this with you all. Just glad we can provide more than one reason (warmer weather and a new baby) for you to come here!

We also loved seeing the lights on Temple Square!! I can hardly believe how intricately they are done and how marvelous it is to see such an incredibly moving scene at night.
