GRAND BABIES JUST KEEP COMING!

Our 25th grandchild was recently born!  His name is:
HANK DOUGLAS WILLIAMS--
Born February 5, 2013, at 4:04 p.m. Pacific time
8 lb. 10 oz., 20-3/4"

I was able to travel to Moses Lake, Washington, two days later to spend six wonderful days helping Heather with her newborn baby boy!  This was the sign that Heather's friend helped the kids draw and color to welcome home their new baby brother.

This is 2-day-old Hank in his sister Hattie's arms.

The proud father!

Hattie and Jack are just thrilled with Hank.  I think Jack had changed the most in the six months since I've seen them.  He has the brightest, happiest demeanor with such a fun personality, and he can talk so well.  We played all kinds of things together, even duck-duck-goose, which tested my ability to run.  Heather got a big kick out of seeing me trying to chase those two kids.

Hattie really is going to be a wonderful big sister and help to her mother.  She held her brother several times for extended periods of time.

This always warms my heart to see a father sleeping next to his child.

Hattie loves to draw, color and watercolor.  One of the first things we did was buy her a new coloring book!  We also put together puzzles, played "The Match Game," read books, watched movies, and I had the privilege of sleeping every night with Hattie.

I can't believe we didn't even get a picture of Heather with Hank, but at least Heather thought of taking my picture.

He is just a nice, healthy baby in every way.  We think he looks like a good combination of Heather and Jack.

It was hard to leave that "little bit of Heaven" home that Ryan and Heather have created with their little children.  Hopefully when Ryan's contract runs out in October they will have found a job closer to family (although his clinic really wants him to renew).

This coming week Ashley is due with her baby boy!  This will be the last of the four expected babies in four months.  Doug and I feel so blessed!

Thanks mom! It was so hard to have you leave...which you clearly knew with tears in both hattie and my eyes....you really did help me get back on my feet. Thank you for all you do and for me and my family. You were so good to help and be there for everything...you just do it so happily and quietly, never asking for a thing!

Love you!

Such a beautiful little baby! Heather and Ryan seem to work so well together in the way they handle their little family. Those little kids are so blessed to have such wonderful parents! That was so sweet what Heather said. You are always so helpful, and I know your family feels your love!

What a blessing it is that you can travel to help your family wherever they might live. Like Laura said, I also appreciated Heather's thoughtful words to you. Even though these young families seem independent and strong in their daily lives, babies coming along truly require additional helping hands. You were apparently an administering angel that came at just the right time!!
