ISLAND PARK--Day 2 and 3 of Garner Family Reunion

Day 2 and 3 - Island Park--
We all traveled to Island Park on Tuesday (the day after Lagoon--day 1), checked into the cabin we rented for four days and three nights and were treated to a wonderful turkey dinner prepared by Matt and Andrea.
Grandpa Doug stopped in Malad to buy some treats for Elsie and Addy!
Here are some pictures of the beautiful cabin (more like a lodge) that we rented.

This is one of the seven bedrooms (with five bathrooms)
Camille playing games with the kids!

Adam and Ruby in the loft library
These were metal hallway light coverings--trees...
...and moose.
Andrea fixing the first day's breakfast
Ashley and Heather helping
Each family prepared just one meal and cleaned up afterwards!
Doug and McKay eating breakfast in the kitchen...
...while these happy kids ate outside on the deck.
Hattie (Heather's)
Cohen (Tom's)
Heather is expecting a baby in November and announced to us (via Hattie's stomach) that they were having a girl, HOWEVER, the ultrasound was wrong.  SHE IS HAVING A BOY INSTEAD!!
Ruby and Holland in their twinner outfits!
Six of the grandkids--12/18 are under the age of 6 years!
Jaxon (Jennifer's), Jaden and Cole (Michele's) on the boat
Jaden and Ryan were the first to try out the tube.  All of us in the boat were laughing to the point of tears while we watched Doug trying to dump them off!
As you can see, Cole was doing pullups from the ski rack.  What you didn't see was Doug depanting Cole.  Cole was a good sport!
McKenna and Olivia wanted to ride the tube really bad, but after Doug's tricks with Jaden and Ryan, they made Doug promise that he would just drive slowly and in a straight line.
Jaxon and Cole
The water may be cold, but you just can't beat the pristine scenery of Island Park!!
Ryan showing Hattie some minnows when we returned to the dock.
That night, we made our traditional trek to the Playmill Theater where we saw Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.  All of us went, however, the three fathers tended the babies during the first show and then swapped their wives while they went to the second show.

Wow, what a cabin! That was just the perfect place for a big family! I can't believe how many little ones you have--they are all so close in age--they are going to have so much fun together at any age!

Such a great report of an action-packed week. We are also so excited for Michele and Heather, your two book ends (that is what Brian and Layne call themselves since they represent the first and the last in the family). Both girls are such good mothers and should have a bundle of children. Thanks for letting us share your fun reunion. It definitely looked like a success.
