RYAN'S GRADUATION FROM PHYSICIAN'S ASSISTANT SCHOOL
Doug and I traveled to Pocatello for Ryan's graduation from PA School on Friday, July 31. He did so well and we are all very proud of him and the way he has prepared himself for his family's future. Since then, he took his Board exam on August 14, found out he passed the test on August 20, and accepted a job in Moses Lake, WA, at the Moses Lake Community Health Center, which he starts on October 5! Whew!! We will miss having them just 2-1/2 hours away but are excited for their new adventure.

Doug, Hattie, Heather, Ryan and Joyce outside the Stephensen Performing Arts Center at Idaho State University.
Heather and Hattie are so proud of Ryan, too!

Hattie saying, "Way to go, Dad!"

Hattie was fascinated with the dog but the dog was more aggressive than she was!

PRIMARY ACTIVITY DAYS AT THE CHURCH MUSEUM
The Church Museum has been such a wonderful opportunity for me to serve, meet interesting people from all over the world, constantly learn something new about Church History and share that knowledge with museum patrons, enjoy fellow docents and develop lifetime friendships, travel to grade schools all over the valley to present either "Southwest Indian" or "On the Trail" programs to grade schools and now participate the last seven weeks in Primary Activity Days.

Primaries from up and down the Wasatch Front reserved a day during the week and brought their children to participate in the PAD. The whole purpose was to help the children appeciate art. My part, along with two other docents, was "Stepping into Art." The children were told that along with books and videos telling stories, a picture can tell a story also. We used the C.C. Christensen painting of the handcart pioneers and shared how there are several stories told in the picture. Then...the children were able to "step into the art" by dressing up as the pioneers and pantomining to a recording of what the people were saying. Here are a few pictures of the stage where we presented the Primary Activity Day.
This was the enlarged mural of the C.C. Christensen picture on the Museum's theater.

The clothes distributed in piles for the children to dress up in.

The participants really enjoyed the whole experience!

I, also, wanted to congratulate Ryan on his graduation! Way to go! That is just outstanding--and the field you are going into is just wide open. Way to go, Heather and Hattie, for being so supportive!

Congratulations to Ryan. I know he has worked very hard to be finished. Good luck to him with his future career. Also, Heather, thanks for all you did in the cabin. We could see many organized areas you worked on and we loved being there for a couple days.
