ST. GEORGE TRIP WITH TOM- April 25-27, 2008

Doug and I drove to St. George for a final walk through for the house we purchased (that Andrea and Matt are going to rent). Tom came along because Hillary had gone to Virginia a week before Tom met up with them. We had a wonderful weekend spending one-on-one time with Tom, something we hadn't done since we took him to the MTC before his mission. He is a great son and very adventurous, which is good for us because he keeps us active! He took us to Zion's National Park on Saturday where we took the tram into the canyon, hiked the Weeping Rock Trail to a waterfall and Emerald Pools and just enjoyed the beauties of the park.

Tom keeps us moving!

Weeping Rock is a short 10-minute walk to a lovely
seeping alcove with beautiful hanging gardens and light
sprinkling waterfalls.

Tom is so creative with his picture taking!!

Tom likes to take pictures, but doesn't like people
to take pictures of him.

ADAM'S USU GRADUATION - MAY 3, 2008
Adam graduated from USU in Mechanical/aeronautical engineering on May 3. Doug, Joyce and Rita traveled to Logan for the big event. Adam has accepted a civilian job as a nuclear engineer at Puget Sound Naval Base in Bremerton, Washington, and will begin his job on June 23. We are excited for their adventure, but will miss having them so close to Centerville. Adam and Ashley are flying there the first part of June to find a place to live.

his degree. They even announced McKay's name along
with Adam's.
Adam was diligent in keeping up with his studies
and working all through McKay's four months
in Primary Children's Hospital and the challenges since
then. He never gave up and we are so proud of him!

MATT'S LAW SCHOOL GRADUATION - MAY 10, 2008
Doug and Joyce flew to Indianapolis on May 8 to attend Matt's law school graduation. Matt's parents, along with his sister Val, also attended. Matt has accepted a job with Gallian, Wilcox, Welker, Olson & Beckstrom, L.C. in St. George, Utah, and will begin May 21. We helped them pack up the last of their belongings and then Doug and Matt drove the rental truck 25 hours to Utah. Andrea, Abby and I flew home. We are so excited to have them living closer, but will miss visiting them and their home with its beautiful setting in Indianapolis.
