THE BIRTH OF LIAM CARSON GARNER--
Liam was born on October 5, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. and weighed in at 6 lbs. 1 oz., and was 18 inches long. Tom and Hillary are the proud parents and Adelyn, Elsie and Cohen are the happy siblings! Liam's middle name honors his 5-year-old cousin (Hillary's nephew) who passed away just three months to the day, on July 5, at 7:00 p.m. when an old headstone in Park City fell on him.
This little boy is Doug's and my 13th grandson and 23rd grandchild. Doug and I had just returned the night before from our trip to Cabo, and so we were extremely happy to be home for the birth and to help with the kids.
Doug and I brought Liam's three siblings to the hospital, and this is a picture of Adelyn giving her dad a big hug.
Cohen's introduction to his new brother.
He was so gentle (and still is).
The happy little family!
The proud father!

Little tiny footprints!
Adelyn now has three siblings.
Cohen has a little brother to play with and be best friends for the rest of his life.

And, of course, the proud grandparents!
We now have two grandsons to carry on the Garner name!
The three kids stayed with Grandpa and me for the weekend. I took this darling picture of Cohen helping Doug wash the dishes. Hillary says that he loves to help wash dishes.
I took the kids to their home Sunday afternoon in time for them to greet Liam on the front porch of his new home.
There's nothing like a baby to unite a family.
This picture is of Liam on his one-week birthday in his cute Halloween outfit.
Michele was able to see Liam for the first time this past weekend when she brought Jaden down so that Jennifer could take his Senior pictures.
And my Father was here for a couple of days and nights.
I had to throw this darling picture in of Isabella playing her violin.
It's amazing to see how quickly a family can grow. We are now looking forward to Andrea delivering a (?) around December 5; Heather a (?) around February 5; and Ashley a boy approximately February 19! We'll keep you posted.

Oh, there is nothing like a new baby, is there?! Liam is such a blessed little guy to come into a home where there is so much love from his parents, sisters, brother--and extended family. Couldn't you just see how proud and loving those big sisters and brother felt as they were holding him? Tom and Hillary seem to handle a large family so well--they just take it in their stride. That is so commendable! Congratulations to you and Doug on all your grandchildren. You will soon be passing us up!
Tom and Hilary really do have a beautiful family. Where did the name Liam come from? I do like it since it sounds very distinguished and grown up as well as simple and easy for a baby or a child. It is helpful to live close to your children when they need your assistance at times like these. The photo of Doug doing dishes with his little grandson is a keeper!!
