After spending three days in Barcelona, we then boarded our ship, the Celebrity Solstice. This was the second time sailing on the ship for Doug and me; the first time was when we went on our Mediterranean cruise two years ago.

End of the ship (called the stern) where our two balcony rooms were located side by side on Deck 6!

The day was a little cool, so there weren't too many out on deck for the "Sail Away Party."
As we were sailing out of the Port of Barcelona, we saw from a distance Montjuic Cemetery. The cemetery was built in 1883 on 138 acres and now contains over one million burials and cremation ashes in 150,000 plots, niches and mausolea. The cemetery is also a real treasure of valuable funerary art, and is the burial place for many important Barcelona residents.
Out in the open Mediterranean Sea and headed for DUBROVNIK, Croatia!
